Goenkan Leadership Academy

Leadership that Thrives. For Life.

A transformative leadership journey begins here at GD Goenka. The Goenkan Leadership Academy (GLA) is a structured four-year pathway from Grades 9 to 12 that nurtures future-ready leaders. Rooted in the school’s vision — Thrive. For Life. — the programme helps students discover their strengths, shape their purpose, and create meaningful impact.

Through immersive experiences, students build their portfolios, lead high-impact community projects, and refine essential skills in communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Each step of the journey is designed to inspire confidence, foster empathy, and empower Goenkans to craft their own unique story of leadership and growth.

Our Aim

At the Goenkan Leadership Academy, every experience is designed to bring out the best in each learner — helping them grow into confident, articulate, and socially responsible individuals ready for the world beyond school.

  • Develop self-assurance, initiative, and the ability to lead with poise.
  • Learn to analyse, question, and make thoughtful decisions.
  • Express ideas with clarity, empathy, and conviction.
  • Apply classroom learning to authentic, real-life contexts.
  • Design and drive projects that create meaningful change in the community.
  • Strengthen academic and personal readiness for global opportunities.

The Levels of GLA

The Goenkan Leadership Academy unfolds across three progressive levels — each designed to nurture independence, purpose, and the spirit of leadership. Every stage deepens learning, broadens perspective, and builds the foundation for lifelong success.

Bronze Level — Grade 9

Discover & Define

Students begin their leadership journey by exploring their passions and identifying real-world challenges that matter to them. Working collaboratively, they learn to question deeply, think critically, and understand the art of defining meaningful problems — the first step toward impactful change.

Silver Level — Grades 10 & 11

Innovate & Implement

At this stage, students transform ideas into action. They design and execute innovative community projects that address authentic needs. Through hands-on experience, they develop essential skills in team leadership, project management, and sustainability planning — delivering tangible outcomes that make a difference.

Gold Level — Grade 12

Lead & Leave a Legacy

In the final stage, students take complete ownership of their initiatives. They mentor teams, refine strategies, and ensure the long-term continuity of their projects. Each student presents their work to external organizations and evaluators, showcasing leadership that inspires change and leaves a lasting legacy.
