Students of Grades XI and XII from GD Goenka High School visited the National Gallery of Modern Art on 20th May 2026 as part of an enriching educational excursion designed to bring learning closer to lived artistic expression.
From the timeless works of Raja Ravi Varma and Abanindranath Tagore to the bold visual language of M. F. Husain and Amrita Sher-Gil, students explored the depth and diversity of modern and contemporary Indian art while gaining insight into different artistic styles, movements and cultural narratives.
The visit encouraged thoughtful observation, creativity and a deeper appreciation for the role of art in shaping perspective and cultural understanding.
