Mother's Day Celebration
Mother's Day celebration at GD Goenka High School was a wonderful opportunity for students to express their love, gratitude and appreciation towards their mothers. It was an occasion when children created beautiful and innovative crafts, cards, songs and performed dances to celebrate the special bond they share with their mom.
Teachers also encouraged students to share stories about their mothers and how much they love them. The idea behind Mother's Day celebration in schools was not just to express that our learners not only love and take care of their Moms but it was also an excellent opportunity for children to develop empathy, emotional intelligence and social values such as kindness, gratitude and compassion which will help molding themselves into a better person in future.
Buddha Poornima
To commemorate the 2585th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, students of GD Goenka High School celebrated Buddha Purnima by preaching the teachings of Lord Buddha.
Let us remember Lord Buddha's teachings and always be on the path of knowledge.
Happy Buddha Purnima
May Day
GD Goenka High School celebrated May Day to appreciate the contributions and the vital role of The Support Staff. Various activities and events were organized to entertain, engage, and help workers stay healthy. There were songs sung by students to celebrate the spirit of labour unity. Games like tug-of-war, musical chair provided amusement for the staff.
A Health checkup was set up for conditions such as high blood pressure or cholesterol levels so the staff can identify any potential health issues early on.
Overall, Labour Day was a time to honour those who dedicate their lives to work tirelessly for others in our community.
Investiture Ceremony
GD Goenka High School had organised its Investiture Ceremony to appoint the Board of Honours for the academic year 2023-24. The ceremony was held to give recognition and responsibilities to those students who have shown exceptional leadership qualities and abilities.
During the Investiture Ceremony, students who have been selected for leadership positions were given badges, sashes and ranks that signify their positions. These badges are a symbol of trust, responsibility, and accountability.
The ceremony is an opportunity for us to discuss the goals and objectives for the academic year with the new leaders. It inspires the student to become leaders and work towards achieving their goals for their school.
We believe, The Investiture Ceremony is a great way for students to develop their leadership skills and take charge of their school. It not only recognises their accomplishments but also empowers them to make a difference in the learners community. The ceremony can create a sense of unity and pride among the students, who feel a sense of responsibility towards their institution. By attending and participating in Investiture Ceremonies, students can learn valuable lessons about leadership and work towards achieving their future goals.

'Kinder Cafe', cooking without fire.
'Kinder Cafe', is a 'cooking without fire' activity that is just a start for our tiny tots to hone their olfactory, gustatory and fine motor skills. This activity also helps children to improve their knowledge of basic pre number concepts, measuring, counting and following instructions.
It allows our little ones to explore new food and develops their math and science skills.
The Kinder Cafe activity was enjoyed by our little Goenkans of Grades Nursery and KG. They participated enthusiastically and made delicious chocolate cookies and healthy sandwiches which they enjoyed with hot milk.
Little chefs proudly shared their dishes and everyone enjoyed participating in this fun filled activity.
